Most of the eastern railroads and some western lines used camelbacks. The CNJ ran them until 1954. These locomotives used the Wootten firebox which was wider in order to burn a lesser quality of coal, thus moving the cab astride the boiler. Railroads that had camelbacks include: ATSF, B & O, C&EI, CNJ, C&WI, D & H, D L & W, ERIE, LIRR, MEC, MKT, NC&StL, NYO & W, L & HR, l & NE, LV, PRR, READING, SP, SUSY Q, UP, and W&LE. They are available in any railroad or your own private roadname. Examples below:
